Exterior Paint Schemes: 1918 - 1941 |
The color in this period are variations of gray. Idntifying an undated BB35 photo by paint scheme almost impossible. There is not a lot of difference. Paint probably faded when photographed, Film developement not a true reflection (for many reasons(. Scanning also alters the color. Not until the avent of measure 12 in 1941 can Texas be so identified.due to the camaflouge pattern Below schemes are in "Ship's Data 6 USS TEXAS (BB35)", Leeward Publications, 1976. |
