RADIOS
In 1945, at least 61 pieces of radio equipment (receivers and transmitters) of 35 different types, were aboard. Many radios were removed before decommissioning.
The equipment presented came from the following sources:
*** 16 pages electronic equipment signed for, 21 Apr 1948, by Mr Strickling, one of the TEXAS caretakers.
The list has several items crossed off (not turned over) and is marked confidential.
*** 5 page inventory, 1 Apr 1948, of engineering department equipment being left aboard
*** "Radio Title B Equipment", undated. The LORAN entry makes the list not earlier then 1943.
*** An inventory I made, in the mid 1990s, of the Radio Transmitter Room
